About Me
Hello There
My name is Hana Stott (she/her), your friendly neighbourhood copywriter.
I specialise in creative and comedic copywriting.
While creating fun, engaging and eye-catching copy is my forte, as a certified copywriter, I know this alone is not the be-all and end-all in today's competitive market. Any and every word I write for you is done with your tone of voice, your brand values and most importantly, your customers in mind.
You can find out more about my prices, packages and process by emailing me at quillseeker.copywriting@outlook.com

About Me
When not writing, or writing about writing.
I am an ardent player of video games, watcher of film and television and lover of any medium of great storytelling.
I enjoy food, be it Michelin star, glorious junk food and all the nibbles in between.
Cooking it, eating it, watching it, learning about it.
It's all gravy.
Mmmmmmm gravy.
I am also lucky enough to live with 3 joyous creatures, a husband, a son and a dog.
Some fun facts about me:
-
My name is Czech
-
I was named in homage to my Polish ancestry.
-
My parents possess poor research skills.
Specialisation
Creative and Comedic Copywriting.
The practice of thinking outside the parameters of conventional advertising standards and cliches.
Instead, taking the copywriting basics, then using the clients personality, unique selling points and quirks to create engaging wording that triggers an emotional connection with the reader.
That emotion can be making them laugh, making them cry, making them think, making them so confused they just need to find out more.
If done right, that emotional connection transitions seamlessly from that piece of copy to your brand in the pluck of a heartstring or a tap of their funny bone.
History
I have worked as an IT Technician for nearly 9 years at a large nationwide charity organisation. Sure, this may not feel relevant at this stage but a 3rd line technician actually spends a hearty chunk of their day writing.
Technical documentation, process flows, how-to guides, internal communications and, of course, email correspondence.
So......many........emails.
When writing a technical document or email for a non-technical audience, you want to achieve the following.
-
Make it easy to read and understand. Simplified, but still containing the key messages.
-
Knowing the right length and amount of detail to contain, and make it eye-catching. If everyone's PC's are rebooting in 10 minutes, you want to make sure they know about it!
-
Empathising the calls to action. Maybe "Please save all your open files now" is their primary takeaway, if so, great job.
With my days filled with all these delicious writing techniques, it soon became clear I was in the wrong job.
---
I retrained as a Copywriter through the College of Media and Publishing and passed my certification in December 2023 with a distinction grade.
I then turned my focus to researching the industry, improving my techniques, finding my style and becoming self employed.
